Confusion over what to do for nvc

Ok..

We have received our NOA 2 and letter..and I am wanting to get the NVC process going and completed.

There seems to be some conflicting advice over the next steps, especially based on the embassy.

What can I do now as I wait for the letter for the NVC?

(I have already received letter from the USCIS, but it has no NVC number)

Also, there is absolutely no way to mail my husband anything in Nepal. He never gets anything i send, unless it is by DHL or special courier service.

I am afraid whatever the NVC has to mail to him, he will not receive! Can it be mailed to the embassy instead? And he can pick it up there?

Sorry, to sound so confused!! But, I appreciate all help and advice.

About a week after your NOA2 date, start calling up NVC and see if they have a case number assigned. You'll have to give them your USCIS receipt number, so have that handy. As soon as the case number has been assigned, give them both your email addresses, that way all correspondence will be sent by email, and not snail mail.

after 4 or 5days start calling the NVC , dont u wait for them to contact u,, it will take ages...good luck

09/05/2011 received NOA2

21/05/2011 DS3032 email Sent /

23/05/2011 paid the AOS fee Bill

25/05/2011 AOS statut PAID

25/05/2011 Sent Request to clear the error in my name (ughhh)

27/05/2011 PAID the IV BILL -statut in process

28/05/2011 got the response for my request to modify the error in my name..== OK

31/05/2011 AOS Package sent via usps express

01/06/2011 IV bill statut " PAID "

03/06/2011 AOS Package received by NVC

03/06/2011 IV Package sent via usps express

05/06/2011 IV Package received by NVC

05/06/2011 fingers crossed

17/06/2011 second stupid FALSE RFE for missing DS230

24/06/2011 SIF SIF SIF SIF YES SIIIIF (Sign In Failed) and Case complete ( CC)

I called today and got our NVC number and gave our e-mails!!

How long from here?? If I have everything else ready?? :-)

(I am not anxious or anything... haha)

Your AOS should be invoiced soon. And after you email the DS-3032, it'll be accepted within a few days and then the IV bill will be invoiced. If you have all packages ready now, you can have everything mailed out by the end of next week for sure. Then another 2-3 weeks to review the packages, and if no RFEs, then a case complete.

So, I can e-mail his form with his signature?? Right??

Yeah you can if you got the email requesting the form ds 3032...just FYI if you haven't then they won't accept it until they request it from you....

That sent you should get a response within a day or two and receive the IV bill...and should receive an email not long after that tells you what they need for the ds230 packet. Or at least that's what happened with us. They will be sending emails to both accounts from now on including the interview letter and packet.

12/20/2010 - Mailed I-130 to Chicago Lock Box via USPS Express Mail

12/22/2010 - Delivered (online tracking confirmation)

12/27/2010 - NOA1 Email and Text from USCIS. Off to CA!!

12/30/2010 - NOA1 Hardcopy Received. Priority date is 12/22/2010.

02/16/2011 - Touched

05/26/2011 - NOA2 155 days after NOA1!

05/31/2011 - NOA2 Hardcopy Received. No text or email notification.
