You know you miss your honey when..........

you go to the town fair and use the NOA 1 date to win a cake at the raffle booth.......and his birth date

and his age and our 'special' date and..............( no, I didn't win the cake ! ) :P

you run out of a meeting excusing yourself: sorry, got to go, got a phone appointment with my baby... :o

your friends shop at the mall.......you shop for the latest sale on phone cards.... :(

your friends wonder why you have 2 clocks with 2 different times hanging on your wall.... ;)

your kitchen counter and table is no longer visible because of the latest document crisis....

Bring it on, I need a good laugh, let me know a day in your life ! :D

You get written up at work because you hopped on a computer for less than 2 minutes to check your status with USCIS when you don't have authorization to use the computers at work. ;) (Hey was quite a while ago, but it happened.) M.

- You get completely confused and mess up a lot when trying to explain the process in a language other than English (even though I try to explain it in portuguese, my first language), since there are so many terms like RFE, NOA, IMBRA, USCIS, NVC etc.... :P

- I tell my boss I can't come home late because my fiance is waiting for me with a cool movie for us to watch (I have to explain that we watch it together using the webcam... and she still doesn't get it).

- You see couples holding hands and wish you had sent your petition before the IMBRA mess. ;)

- 2 days after you were approved you called the NVC to see if they had your case

- Even though you were approved you still check your case status "just in case"

Also, I remember...had two 15-minute breaks at work. On my 2nd break, when he was home from work, I would jump in the car, whiz home, (only about 2 miles away) and hurry onto the computer. He would be on already, we would talk for about 5/10 minutes, and I would rush back to work. It was a pain some days when I would have just liked to relax in the breakroom or outside, but it was well worth it for the way it brightened up the rest of my day! (F) M.

One night I was obviously dreaming about my Jim and when the alarm clock went off I enjoyed the sound quite a bit bc in my dream I had my head on his chest and there for believed the alarm clock to be his heartbeat.......

Other than that,

I know I miss him when all I can think of is him and I keep getting on everybodies nerves by talking about him and counting the days ntil I see him again down.( Right now we have 4 days left as I will be with him on the 14th!!!!!!!!!!! :P )

1) you find the peanut butter in the fridge

the jelly in the cupboard

3) work calls you to ask if you are coming in anytime soon when you thought it was your day off.

When you're asking for help to pack even though you have a month to go till you fly out and people helping you don't see the rush.

When you enjoy packing.

When you stay up all night and fall asleep sitting up at 6am just to make sure your sweetheart is safe in bed, watered and fed.

When your cat starts rubbing the computer because he sees it gets more attention.

When friends think you just walk into the Embassy to get the visa and nothing more and you feel like getting out the boxing gloves.

When your cellphone suddenly becomes so important as soon as he's mysteriously been offline for 20 minutes you just have to call and find out what happened.

When you have arguements about a plant, yup.

When you both sleep with teddybears each other has given.

When you find yourself reading the screen more than books.

When you daydream he'll turn up at your door and you can give him a tour of where you grew up but snap out of it because you know he'll never be able to come there.

When your SO gives into watching The House of Tiny Tearaways or Supernanny just because you've recorded it especially.

When the date you go "home" without thinking, lands on the day he proposed 2 years earlier (L)

When you light the candle from a visit he snuck in your bag to celebrate another milestone in the visa process despite you're asthmatic and need to use your inhaler.

When you desolve into tears because it feels like you'll never get there and you both end up crying.

When your hubby can clean out his ears on the webcam and other manly stuff infront of you!

When everywhere you go you find a 1000 things that reminds you of something to do with your love together.

Fiona

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

You miss your honey when:

You suffocate yourself by smelling his unwashed shirt the one you sneak out and hide it under the bed before he could pack himself and go

Every white guy you met on the street or any foreign nationals for that matter reminds you of him… :crying:

You spend 20 hrs on the computer waiting for his emails/offlines and spend 2 hrs of sleep and another 2 hrs spend for class

The phone rings or someone texting you and your smile just went straight to your ears and find out it’s not from him and suddenly you’ve become more unapproachable

You buy a domestic airline ticket 2 and a half months way too early to meet him halfway. and you're fully pack already :P

Every sad song belongs to you :hehe::whistle:

Should I stop or keep it coming… lol :lol::lol:

You know you miss your honey when:

You eat, sleep, work and shower and are out doing things but all you can think about is how great it would be to have them by your side.

You meet up with your girlfriends and they start complaining about their husbands or boyfriends and you dont speak out because you dont want to give them anymore reason to doubt your relationship, yet their issues with their significant others seems far worse than distance and this whole visa process!!!

You get a sweet text message from them and that somehow makes your day that much more bearable.

Your idea of fun means spending few hours online chatting or using calling cards to call your honey.

Your out shopping and somehow end up in the men's section buying clothes for them, but you know it will be months before you can them wear it in person!

You talk incessantly about your significant other to strangers that remind you of them and those poor strangers give you this look like I just want her to leave me alone!

You have talked to your honey about everything you possibly can and just want to enjoy each other's presence and are both just waiting, waiting and waiting for the next step in this visa process!

You wish somehow that you could fast forward to the future when this whole visa process is over and your together under one roof actually living our lives as husband and wife and starting a family....

Everyone that knows me knows so much more about Immigration and Visas because of me.

I have a mini clock key chain and clock by my bed of his time zone.

My bed side table looks like a shrine covered with pictures of us, a candle to light when I pray for us, a rock from his village, a piece of paper of his handwriting on it and a diary filled with our story, thoughts, doubts, happiness, joy, frustration, tears.

Greek cd's in the car, on my mini ipod and in my stereo in the living room.

My "important papers" drawer is filled with Immigration papers, fed ex receipts, and K-1 Visa process guidelines.

I count on my fingers the hour difference, even though I have it on my keychain.

Morning calls, afternoon calls, evening calls. Just to hear his voice and have him hear me say "Sagapo Pole, pole, pole."

Torturing people by making them listen to "our song" which is in Greek and they have no clue what it means until I go into the translation for them.

Buying your wedding dress and when people ask when the wedding is you say "I have no idea".

Creating a folder on your email account called "Cheap Flights" for your purchased tickets on line.

Going on a crash diet a weeks before the next time you see each other.

Buying lingerie.

Spraying letters with my perfume to him.

Posting new pics on "Myspace" so he can log on and see.

Having nightmares about our wedding day, where everything goes wrong and everything isn't organized.

Fearing that this Visa ordeal will NEVER END!!!

Losing some friends because of my relationship because they don't understanding or try to be supportive.

Frequenting Greek restaurants.

Finding Greek grocery stores.

Having pictures of Greece on my screen saver at work.

Kissing his pictures every night.

Sleeping with 4 pillows, two for me and the other two shaped like his body to hug next to me.

I can go on and on but will end this before I really sound like a FREAK in love, hahahaha!

... you can't look at the clock without doing 'the math'

... you spend more time than you should on VJ because somehow, it seems to help

... there's not a event in your day where you don't imagine them there with you, washing the dishes, putting gas in the car, etc.

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
