I have no issue with the fact that he is being 'human'... just that he has a certain standard of ethics which he must uphold... that will likely be the biggest issue of all when they start to dig deep to see if he used any government resource when he acted before he thought...

I have no problem with someone being human... My problem is when the actions distract from the work that needs to be done.... Weiners initial response that he didnt want a prank to distract from the work at hand was spot on in many ways.. I think that deep down he knew he had done something so stupid that would soon derail so much needed public discussion about real problems...its not that they cant have a private life apart from the public, its that they need to think of the impact on the public image when doing private things in the public...

Assume that there was a very outspoken representative (no specific party affiliation) and he/she was getting alot of positive things done for our economy (not saying weiner is) and the rep has a habit of taking a ####### in thier fenced in back yard at night... I don't care about the odd behavior.. but if video of it surfaces or if the rep posted a video of it on youtube.. the work that is in progress becomes dampered... I keep telling my son a number of times each week... don't do anything that you would regret if the entire world found out about it or if it could cause you harm in the future... he has sense enough to not post a picture of himself in underwear on the net...what happened to weiners judgement? now his ability to make sound decisions has come into serious question...

"Every one of us bears within himself the possibilty of all passions, all destinies of life in all its forms. Nothing human is foreign to us" - Edward G. Robinson.
