AOS and Employment Authorization?

How long does it take to get the employment authorization and change of status? We sent our forms I485 and I765 to USCUS 30days ago. We called and they state they have nothing although I have a tracking number from the USPS saying the package was delivered. Also, the check for 1200.00 has not been cashed. Has anyone else experienced this. Feels like the good old days of K1visa waiting....

Ijust wondered why yousent a cheque for $1200? I-485 is ($985+$85=$1070) and no filing fee for the I-765 when filed with I-485.

Could the wrong amount on cheque hold you up? Or is there another reason forsending $1200?

08-2010 Packet 3 returned.

09-2010 Medical in London.

10-2010 Interview at US Embassy in London: Approved.

10-2010 POE Newark, NJ.

11-2010 Married in Vermont.

03-2011 Notice of acceptance of AOS packet.

03-2011 Biometrics appointment in St Albans.

03-2010 Case transfered to California Service Centre.

04-2011 I-485 Approved.

When this happened with our K1 ... it was because something was not signed ! Had to wait until they mailed it back ! It takes about 3 weeks for them to return mail ! However they wont cash the check , so at least you are not out the money !
