Hi, I was just wondering what is the exact procedure of the K-1 Visa Interview.

Does anyone know if they review prior cases / applications as well?

Do you know if they look at the applications of old cases?

I am not sure if this is the right forum but i want to make sure

my fiance had applied for a nonimmigrant B-2 visa almost two years ago and we have the k-1 interview soon and want to know if they look at the old case when they get the application?

Yes they have records of all previously accepted or rejected visas. In the forms you must mention whether you have ever been approved or had ever been rejected for a US visa.

I am not sure what you mean by "application" of old visas here. Do you mean that your fiance had just filled out the forms and never went for the visa?? or your fiance went for the interview and was either approved or rejected for the visa?

If you read thru consulate reviews, you will see that they usually will question you about any prior visas. Sometimes people are asked to submit additional documentation related to that visa too - I have read of this for work visas.
