we mailed the petition in march and patiently waited for our noa2 ever since. there were some things that happened lately and we need some help and advice if anyone is kind enough to give us. i've been living with my grandmother and dad since my mom left me when i was 2. 1 week ago everything went crazy, she came to me asking for money for rent and taxes. i dont have a job, im in college, there was no way i could pay her. my fiance gives me money to have for small expenses and i was keeping those in my wallet. the thing that happened after was that they took me all my money and kicked me out in nothing but panties in the middle of the night in the rain. i managed to get in after a while and contact my fiance for help but he couldnt do much from usa. they cut off my electricity and everything else. until 2 days ago ive stayed outside, or visiting a friend to get some food. since i dont have any income exept my fiance's help in the last few months ive been eating every 2-3 days. im 180cm tall and weight 42kg so that explains a lot, i can barely walk to the shop to get something to eat from time to time, im afraid if this continues for 1 more month ill be too weak to get up from bed, no question about traveling.

now is there any way to obtain or at least TRY to get an expedite for our k1? do we have to contact a senator for it? is there any name or link you can give me?

i hope you have the patience to answer to me and not judge us for trying to get an expedite.

thank you

You have to contact USCIS and request an expedite, they will ask for proof. You must provide proof of the situation then wait and see if they will accept it and grant the expedite. 9x out of 10 they do not.

No harm in trying tho.

For your situation the only thing I could think of for proof would be affidavits from your friends that you are getting food from. From people who saw or were part of when you got kicked out and had your money taken. From The petitioner and from yourself stating the situation.

The only issue with that is affidavits do not hold much weight with USCIS. But no harm in trying it, the affidavits will have to be written very well by the people submitting them to you for proof to send to USCIS.

as much as i understand your situation and think you deserve an expedite,i dont think you could get one. like inky said, youll need proof, and getting proof in your situation is very hard.if you decide to go with the letter from friends option,i suggest attachign a copy of their birthcertificate so they can put a face and id number to the letter.

which service center are you with?

I am sorry about your situation but Inky is right about the proof. You'll also likely have to prove why you can't change your situation, why can't you get a job and get an apartment? Why can't you move and better your situation? the move evidence and proof you have the more likely your expedite will be approved, however like Inky said, it probably won't be

Good luck

As I also feel very badly for your situation, I agree with the above responses. However, here is the link for criteria for expedition from USCIS website.

http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=16a6b1be1ce85210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=db029c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD

You can read for yourself.

The difficult part will be providing the overwhelming proof of your situation. (unfortunately) Many people try different things to speed up the process, therefore USCIS is very cautious about approving these requests. But as others have said, you can definitely try. If you do, think of it like providing evidence in a court of law. You can not rely on just your version of the story. You will need documented proof of the hardship. Notarized letters etc........ Best of luck with your current situation.

Just one other note of interest. It definitely has to be the petitioner requesting the expedite. He will be the one having to submit everything.

USCIS will Not Accept this 10 times out of 10.

You stated: The Petitioner cannot send money to help me. How is that? (But, the good news is hopefully the Income will Increase and meet Income Levels when your more into the process)

Requesting a Expidite based on your both poor right now is to me, the worst thing you could do as to it will become a record with USCIS. Telling USCIS I'm skinny and can't afford to eat and he can't afford to send money right now is The beginning of the End.

If you ask for a Expedite based on the above. Plese don't.... Never cross a Frozen Lake when you know the ICE is Thin. Good Luck

we are at vsc. my friends can help with letters but not with support, because the only friend who helped me during these days is a college student same as me and she doesnt have an icome except from her parrents (she's 20). i can get proofs from them regarding the abuses since they have seen the hit marks on me few times as well as my fiance, and now i feel sorry for not taking a document from legal medical center everytime this happened. even if now i tried to get a job it would be impossible for me to work, i get tired from 2 minutes of walking and have to sit down and rest like a 80 years old lady. i wish i could move somewhere else but with no money its impossible. the rent for a room is at least 200$ plus the taxes and all that. and thank you so much for the kind words i was expecting very harsh comments actually

he helps me as much as he can but supporting himself and me in the same time in different countries is not same thing as supporting both of us while we live togheter. there would be 2 rents to pay 2 rows of taxes. still i think you are very right about how risky this is. ugh i feel more lost than ever means if we do this we might get our prtition denied for good...

I have been very hesitant about saying anything else, but I just can't hold back anymore.

Your fiance can do something from the US. That is, he can send you money to help you obtain food and a place to stay. Part of the obligation of a serious relation is taking care of things like this. If he can not afford to send you some money now, how will he afford to take care of you when you get to US? How is he going to submit an affidavit of support stating he has enough income to take care of you (& him)? But can't do anything right now? I am very perplexed by this. This is a very serious situation and requires serious attention by the parties involved. At least you would be able to eat and regain your strength. You say you are eating only every 2-3 days. I personally would not be able to live with myself knowing that my fiancee was starving. I would do whatever it takes to wire the money to you so that you can be safe.

Since you are so weak and can only do very minimal activities, why isn't your fiance on this site requesting help and pleading the case?

Trust me when I say that I am not being judgmental at all. Actually just the opposite. I am quite concerned.

The solution is not the expedition of the application, but rather your current physical well being. Let's just assume that it would be expedited, that doesn't mean in the next few days, it still takes time for the application to go through other processes (NVC, sent to Consulate, the medical exam, the interview etc.....not to mention that the K1 Visa still has to be approved then obtained). That doesn't help you at all right now. I sincerely hope that you are able to get the assistance you need immediately from your fiance. That is what you need right now.

I sincerely wish you the best under your current situation.

DeeDee I am sooo sorry and shocked to learn this about your situation especially after seeing you posts in the March filers group! You and Sam are both 21, is he being

Co-Sponsored at all by his father? I think the first thing you need to do is find someone you can stay with and see if Sam can help you make some sort of deal with them to let you stay there for the time you will have to wait for your NOA2 and then interview and visa. I am not sure if an expedite will just help get your NOA2 faster or if it will be an expedite at the embassy also.

Sam could try contacting the congressman living in his district and explain the situation to see if he can help. But even if he could, for sure you will need a place to live and food to eat. So worry about that and your health before anything cause you need that to get thru the rest of this.

Good luck and we're praying for you in the March thread! (F)

he's helping me, i would be dead by now if he wouldnt have helped me. he sent me money for food and everytime i get some energy i go and buy but i cant go out very often. and im still living at my grandma waiting to get kicked out whenever she's in the mood to do it, she doesnt even let me to use the kitchen. he is saving to get here in july if he rents me an apartment no chance he'll be able to get the plane ticket. we're both on this account, it was me who posted it because i know better what happened and when is about talking to people im more open. he's a very good guy.

Yes of course Sam is helping you. I was just wondering if his father is helping co-sponsor you? Cause then it may be easier if they could make a deal with your grandmother to look out for you instead of ... Also his father might know more about how to contact the congressman and see if he can try to get some sort of expedite for you.
