First I want to say I am happy for those couples getting approved so fast. Its a blessing. But why is vermont so slow compared to California. I am at 7 months now waiting and california is approving people waiting only 2 months???? My heart is breaking and I am really not understanding all this waiting. Is it less staff? Is it more cases? WHAT????? I know so many people on VJ waiting for even longer then me. This is hard to see others be approved so fast. Our lives are on hold....Why do you think the big difference between vermont and california?

I would love to know what goes on in the centers...how many petitions they receive, how many people actually work on those petitions, etc. From the types of petitions accepted at VSC, I am assuming that VSC is at a larger facility and has more workers than CSC. It is very discouraging to see people from March get approved in CSC while people from oct are still waiting at VSC. (That does not take away from any of us being happy for those whose time came before ours.) I have only been waiting since April (almost 8wks), but it sucks to see that CSC will soon move into April while VSC is doing most of Jan now.

I don't know how much budget has to do with it or if VSC and CSC have different budgets, but most of the time it all comes down to money. Without the money, less people can be hired, and with less manpower work will be done at a slower pace. What I really don't understand is the weeks that VSC cranks out decisions and then goes back to their slow pace a couple of weeks later. What was the difference during those weeks? (I know that VJ is only a small percentage, but here, I am including people I know outside of VJ that are also in the process.)

Whatever the case, it is just a matter of luck not first come first serve. The same way that I could receive NOA2 next month I could also receive it in November. Let's just hope that VSC at least speeds up to a 5 month timeframe for ALL of us (minus the complicated cases as it has always been).

Congrats to all those who have received NOA2 and Good luck to all of us who are still waiting (be it 1 weeks, 1 months or 1 year!)

I am the petitioner and the processing time for me was 7 months to the day. It is very frustrating and my fiance was going crazy, but that's wasn't my fault and once just has to hang in there, be 200% patient. When the relationship is genuine there's nothing to worry about.

BTW, she's got her package and we started gathering the paperwork. Hopefully the interview will happen for her by the end of June in Warsaw, Poland.

Good luck people!

I'm so sorry to hear that.... I can imagine how you feel... This is really really unfair for you guys.. ButI'm sure you're getting closer to your NOA2. Let's have hope and faith :)

I don't understand why they're working so differently... It's frustating, but I'm sure we'll all get our visas very soon :) Let's be strong!! Go Vermonters!

Sorry to hear that. One question that comes to mind is the RFE you noted on your signature. Has that been resolved? There has to be something that slows down the processing such as waiting for results from background checks? Do you have a very common name which could have triggered something in a database which they need to investigate deeper into? Or possibly you had to file some sort of waiver, like IMBRA Waiver?

Because CSC Rocks and VSC Sucks  Seriously I think that VSC have a larger volume of applications to process than CSC. One time VSC was processing faster than CSC -but that was ''once upon a time ''. I waited 190 days before I received my NOA2 from VSC. Just hang in there .You are almost there.

All we could do is wait and have patience!! If you love someone then waiting is the least we could do to be with them =)

Of course...but patience wears thin when you see others and yourself waiting patiently for 7 plus months.....Its easy to have patience at first but it can wear on your body..No body said anything about giving up on our relationships....

THe thing is there are other VJ'ers that have not even received a RFE and they are still waiting ....I have sent in the needed material and its been over a month. Just i feel the frustration for others too....One VJ'er that i know is at 8 months...REALLY????? and thats without a RFE....

Yeah I know it happens, in 2007 it took my petition 8 months. When it comes down to the ending stages of waiting for NOA2, its usually the background name checks / false matches that are the ones that cause the delays. Have you contacted USCIS on Over Normal Processing Time? They seem to let you know you are in background checks if thats the case. If you're not in background checks have you contacted your congressman to find out whats going on?
