Thanks for all the great responses and advice, everyone.

So... K1 visa is the fiance visa. Hmmm, ok. Yeah for SURE I have to meet him, I believe I heard its required no matter what. And plus... I CERTAINLY want to! :) I actually can't wait.

What he and I do together is basically only ONE step away from actually meeting in person. Any time we are both at home together at the same time (like one of us will say up later, or get up earlier for the other), or if we both have the same day off work--- we will sign into skype to talk. We both have excellent quality cameras with built-in microphones. Skype has good quality. So everything is VERY clear and real, like being in person. And we talk for HOURS on end this way. Sometimes we both just lay on our side in bed, and enlarge the camera view display so it takes up our whole laptop screen. It looks like there is only a window separating us, like we are laying down face to face.... And we just spend time together like we would as if we are in the same room. We've been doing that EVERY day, for so long, I feel like we've already met. Or like we already live together. We even change clothes in front of each other like that. Sometimes, I will take the laptop int eh kitchen with me and he watches me cook. We eat in front of each other. Or he watches me clean house, or fold laundry, and we just talk while I do that. Even see each other fresh out of the shower, with a towel in the hair, etc. We are VERY comfortable with each other, we know each other quite well. Even family! I have brought my friends and family around while talking to him, and let them talk to him as well. He REALLY loves my mom, and she just adores him, she already says "I love you son", they get a long very well. Sometimes they will talk while I go do other things.

Thank the lord for computers and cameras/microphones. They close distances like magic :)

 Meeting in person is required for the K1 application to begin and definitely required to marry

Good Luck with your discovery of the immigration process to the US of A. Sounds like you guys have the beginning of a nice relationship.

Correction. Meeting in person is required for an I-129F to be approved. An approved I-129F is required before applying for a K1 visa. A petition is not an application for a visa. USCIS does not issue visas or process visa applications.

Yes you are correct... I stand corrected. The first step is to petition for the ability to apply for the K1.(should they choose this route) That point had been already made. I was just being funny as you definitely have to meet in person no matter the circumstance. Sorry, no confusion intended.....
