The Sydney consulate got our request for an interview and all supporting documents on May 21 and I was told that an interview would be set within 4 weeks - however I do believe that is a standard reply. I'm expecting to received notification of the interview via Email as all correspondence has been done via email.

Good luck.

Today I got an email from the embassy with a response to one of my inquiries about my application which I made last week. In their response they said they didn't have my application at all, and that the person didn't know what DCF was. etc. Really worried me, so I called the Embassy. For the first time in 2 years I managed to reach the Embassy consulate sector without spending hours trying (just to give up from constant busy signals). The lady was very kind as I explained as calmly as possible what I was told in the email. I was on the brink of a severe panic attack, but managed to keep my cool. She was very helpful, and found out that not only did they recieve our application but they had also given us an interview date for July 12th!! WOW!!

So that makes it officially 6 business days from application recieved to receiving a scheduled interview date! That was fast!!! My husband and I cried not only from relief that our application wasn't lost but from such joy that we had our interview date after years of dealing with this. Such great relief. =D
