Is it okay to mail the IV packet in a 1 inch binder.

I have everything in plastic sleeves, indexed and all documents labeled with NVC #

I know this may be excessive but I was hoping binder is okay..

I'm sure you can but they will probably just dump the binder ...I used a medical file folder with tabs at the top...they probably also dumped that but I was only out a few cents if they did...but do what you feel works best for you :) I read somewhere that they also view how well it's put together as to how serious the petitioner is..but idk if that's true...but obviously those that take pride in what they are doing will definitely put it together neatly and well :)

how are you holding up? it's definitely a little stressful at the NVC stage isn't it?

They are going to remove everything from the binder and plastic sleeves and arrange it as they like. IMO it will be more work for the agent to do this than to go through a neatly arranged stack of documents. We sent ours in with a cover sheet listing everything in order and just clipped the pile together. While the care you put into your package may reflect your intentions I seriously doubt it has any effect on approvals.

Good luck!

This is what we were advised to do also.

To make it like the petition would slow them down TBH and theye are only going to disassemble it to scan ready for the consulate anyway.

Cover letter and components required clipped together.

However i have read somewhere that NVC do not make decisions to refuse or approve, they just collate the required components that the consulate require to make the final decision!

So I would advise your partners to get ready for the medical and iterview all the same!
