SCHEDULING AN INTERVIEW APPOINTMENT ONLINE

Hello Everyone!

I'm a newbie on this site, I just have a question that I hope you guys won't mind answering/helping me with if you have any information. My fiance tried to schedule an interview appointment online 2 days ago after making the necessary payment at the bank for the visa. He was able to schedule one for June 28, 2011 but he thinks he scheduled it under "Immigrant Visa" and I know K-1 is considered a Non-Immigrant visa. So, my question is, should he cancel that appointment and re-schedule it under Non-Immigrant instead or it doesn't matter? We just wanna make sure that he doesn't get sent home on the day of his appointment because the appointment is considered invalid? Please suggest! thanks for your time :)

K1 is non-immigrant visa but its process under Immigrant visa in US Embassy Manila. I scheduled my interview online and clicked the Immigrant Visa Section. I fell under the immigrant visa line during my interview too.

08-30-2011 - AOS/EAD packet sent

09-12-2011 - NOA1 for AOS/EAD with 09-08 notice date

10-11-2011 - Biometrics appointment (appointment letter received on 09/19)

11-03-2011 - EAD card production request

11-14-2011 - EAD in the mail

12-08-2011 - Interview date (e-mail notification date 11/08) APPROVED!

12-13-2011 - Card production ordered

12-14-2011 - Card mailed to our address

12-17-2011 - Got gc in the mailbox! Valid until 12/13/2013 <wonderful christmas gift>
