I went into the Currency Exchange to buy a book of stamps and walked up to the woman at the window. She didn't greet me and had this mean look on her face and talked very rudely. Well anywho after she rang me up I asked if they take debit cards and she said no and I asked if they have an ATM but found it mid-sentence so I went over. The stupid machine wouldn't read my card and I came back and asked her if it worked. She shouted "Yes" with this snotty look on her face and this other girl kindly told me that I needed to put the card in and take it out very fast. I tried it and it worked and when I came back I went to a different window because I didn't want to deal with the first girl. The first girl shouted " Can you come over here I already rang you up" to which I replied "No you have a very bad attitude." and continued with my purchase order. She got even more ticked but who cares. I thanked the girl who helped me and left knowing that she would talk schmack as soon as I left but I felt sooooooo relieved for telling her what was on my mind. I think customer service these days has gone down the drain. No one is friendly anymore...what's the deal?

I think I know when someone is being mean to me and I don't have any "card drama" my hubby is here and got his 2 year green card.

That's what you get for not buying your stamps from the friendly folks of the USPS. LOL

lol...I just got off the train and was walking and that was the closest place to get stamps. I don't usually say anything to mean people but I couldn't help myself. There was no excuse for her rudeness. I have held some pretty craptastic jobs but have been nothing but nice to customers and I ALWAYS approach cashiers and employees of establishments with a cheerful attitude because I know they probably face customers who are less then nice.

Here's t-shirt you should get for situations like this:

I don't get how you know I am talking with attitude since you cannot possibly hear the tone of my voice through words that I am typing on this thread. I misunderstood your "card drama" to mean the green card because I did not display any sort of drama when my atm card didn't work. I simply went back and asked: "excuse me does the atm machine work because it won't read my card" Simple as that. I just don't get how when you were not there you are trying to tell me how things went.

And to add: I don't get upset at human beings when a machine (ATM) doesn't work. Why would I yell at people over something that the machine does or does not do. Maybe in your life you do that Shon but that's totally not me.

Go to the post office or supermarket next time. The currency exchange is too 'ghetto'. word.

Yeah after she was mean to me and I went to the ATM I thought about going to the gocery store that would be on my way home but I said you know what I will just go to the other window and try to ignore her because I thought if I went back to her I would say something. But then she was super duper rude when she yelled at me to come back over to her. Then I let it out and I didn't yell it either I just said it calmly. But I will for sure next time go to the post office. But don't grocery stores charge you more for a book of stamps? I think I remember being charged 13 bucks one time and this time I only paid 9.

depends on how many stamps you buy. the post office charges nothing extra. I'm pretty sure grocery stores don't either. costco actually charges 25 cent less off a 100 stamps. $38.75 for $39 of stamps.
