Alright finally got the interview date... so the speech ohh the speech "We schedule interview date only during 2nd week of the month" goes out the window... Thanks saylin on that...

we got our interview date on July 18th... although i would like to contact the embassy... Mumbai Embassy... for an earlier schedule date...

so Im just snooping around the DOS and Embassy webpages and i came up with few email...

infousmumbai@vfshelpline.com

ConsularMumbai@state.gov &

mumbaiiv@state.gov

now which email id should i send the request too....

does anyone have any idea...

Grats on getting the date! And I told you (and everyone else) to not listen to those silly operators :P Glad you listened ;)

I looked here http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/contactinformation.html for contact info for visas and it looks like the first email address you listed so I'd go with that one. If you don't get a response from that one, then try the second one, and if that doesn't work, then try the last.

Good luck on getting an earlier interview date!

Man, that takes forever!

I sent a package to my wife and it reached in 6 days just last week!

Ok. Def. want to know what steps you take just in case I have to do the same in the future.
