Hello people. I've been in the middle of the AOS process from K-1.

I have my biometric appointment scheduled soon and have a question what I can bring as my ID.

I always know that it's good to have my passport with me as my identification but I am going to leave my passport to the Japanese Embassy for a couple days for my name change on my passport and it's more likely that I won't have my passport for the biometrics appointment.

I have my learner permit right now so I would like to bring the permit with me and receive the biometrics.

I know that driver's licenses work as the ID, but not sure about the learner permit...

Does anyone know whether it's ok or not to bring a learner's permit as an ID?

Any kinds of information will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! :)

DebWa, thank you for your information! I will call them and make sure before I leave :)

Some places will not accept a learner's permit since it is a temporary ID. I would check with USCIS to find out if this is an acceptable ID.
