Yesterday we had our interview , they didn't give us answer on the spot.

Then we came in the office with my husband , I.O. ask few general questions, after that they separate us.

All our answers match, except one, my husband forgot when exactly he gave me his CD(he is musician, singer).

Interview last like an hour, and they didn't gave us decision on the spot.

He took my I-94 form, but gave me back work permit. In the begining I.O. he did't smile at all, looked so serious, but after awhile show some positive signs.

I am asuming that why they didn't gave us desicion on the spot, because my lawyer on the forms didn't show any work experience for both of us at all and didn't include any proof of bona fide marriage,(just the forms), we have joint-sponsor.Just after we met him, we gave him a lot of documents.

And he told me not to leave the country , and our case is under review.

Hi aidore,

Have you heard any updates about your case since your interview on Wednesday? I too had an AOS interview on May 25th (in Los Angeles) and I wasn't approved on the spot. The interview went pretty well, but in the end the IO handed me a piece of paper saying that my case is under 'further review'. I'm just curious to see if there has been any progress in your case, as I wonder how long it takes for the 'review' period? I am planning to take a trip abroad in the next week and a half, and I was planning to use my advance parole document to re-enter..

Thanks!

Hey,

No not yet, they gave me as well a piece of paper saying that my case is under "further review" and it could take up to 180 days.Did they wrote you how long it could take? Did you have any red flags, or provide a lot additional information on the spot?

Yeah, same situation. They gave me the exact same paper. My interview went really smooth and there were no red flags or additional questions. The IO just asked to see 4 documents which proved that our marriage was bona fide. She didn't ask any further questions related to the marriage so I assume she was satisfied with what we gave her..

Good luck to you! Let us know when you hear any updates!

Did they state why they sperated you? And the fact that they took your i-94 and gave you back your EAD is a good sign.

No they didn't ,but I think because we had some red flags, 20 years age difference, different race, we didn't date for long time before got married. But we are both alike, I mean, we behave very similar, and so on.

Interview took like an hour, and I.O was keeping me inside around 40 min ,ask how bunch of questions about us,apartment, etc. but my husband the most 10 minutes and didn't ask that much about our relationship, just few,but the rest was about our jobs, because he didn't work for the last year.

hi aidore

have you heard anything new yet? our interview was on the 25th and we didn't get approved either. we didn't get a letter that said "further review" but the IO said that they need to do some back ground checks and we needed to complete something on our medical form. everything sent in now we just have to wait.

hope you (and we) hear something soon. keep us posted.

it's quite nerve wracking isn't it?

Beginning to think that there is pattern with the LA office that they tend to not approve you on the spot, at least for some of us. Because my experience was the same thing interview went smooth but was handed a piece of paper saying adjudicative review needed please follow up within 30 days. Did an info pass after 30 days and now has a 10 year green card in hand.

I just got letter, that my medical exam was not fully completed by doctor, I just send them new one, I hope that it will be enough , and finally they can approve it. :)
