Numeric Number for scheduling online interview. PLS Help..

I have a friend who's now trying to schedule her interview online, but she encountered a problem in entering her mobile number...it always says PLEASE ENTER THE NUMERIC DIGIT. What is it mean guys? Anyone could answer my queries for my friend? She really needs your kind reply..

oh sorry...she was calling the US Embassy in Manila, Philippines...and the operator asked her number (Philippine Number) and when she entered it, it says ENTER THE NUMERIC DIGIT...what does it mean?

I put the "+" sign in before I put in the Phlippine phone number and got the same message. I removed it and the number was accepted. It means the space will only take numbers written as zero through nine. Good luck
