Affidavit of Support question

Are you required to send copies of your bank account statements? I have provided tax transcipts for my income, pay stubs and my annual income is sufficent. I listed my savings account balances, but wasnt sure if i needed to provide actual bank statements.

It is always good to provide as much evidence as you can't. And the affidavit of support is a very important part of the process, so prepare it carefully and provide the required supporting documentation. Also, a letter from the bank stating information about your account (for how long has it been opened, how much has been deposit, etc) will be helpful.

You only need to list your savings and other assets if you intend on using them to make up for any amount you might be short on the 125% level. If you make above the 125% line, then you don't need to list any assets or provide bank statements to prove them.

If you don't need the assets in your savings account in order to qualify then you're better off not listing them. They can ask for evidence for anything you list on the affidavit of support. If you list money in the bank then they can ask for bank statements.

definitely provide bank statements showing positive cash flow. the more ammo you provide, the easier it will be to approve your case.
