I was wondering if it's ok to provide receipts as ongoing relationship? Like for example she is sending me money for my mom's birthday through western union. Should she keep the receipt? She's worried if receipts will make our relationship involve too much about money. However, I think it would be good long as that is not all our proof is. Any suggestions?

I had the same question, and was advised to include Western Union receipts, any receipts at all! Including calling cards etc..

Anyone familiar with how to make Skype calls into a printable document?

I think the more evidence you have the better I send my fiance every month. She still works but I pay for her kids to go to an English school to help adjust to school here and I want her to have extra money. She keeps all the western union receipts plus anytime I send her flowers I forward her the email of the conformation and paypal receipt after she gets them so it still a surprise lol. I would assume if some one is sending the other money and gifts it is a relationship based on trust and love not for any other reason.

What we do is copy everything and post it on your clip board or notepad then print it out it will have your text messages and conversations times but you can only go back 3 months so you might print it every 30 to 60 days. If there is another way please some one else let us know

It is not wise to show that you send money to your loved one, you are just creating red flags for yourself. Money and immigration don't mix, just like oil and water. Use other simple evidence like emails, chat transcripts, phone call logs, etc to show on going relationship..

While it's true it's depending on the specific case and even country. The example of your mom's birthday is good(IMO) if you provide the reciept for the gift as well. Shows interest in the family the way it's possible in a longdistance relationship.

But I do agree that primary evidence of the relationship is most important. Maybe it would help you better if a fellow K1'er from Jordan has attended the interview and knows the details of it better.

K1 process, October 2010 > POE, July 2011

From filing I-129F petition until POE: 285 days

AOS process, December 2011 > July 2012

EAD/AP Approval took 51 days from NOA1 date to email update. (77 days from filing until EAD/AP in hand)

AOS Approval took 206 days from NOA1 date to email update. (231 days from filing until greencard in hand)

Just to clarify she only sent money to me for birthdays once for mine (before our NOA1 so I won't submit it) and the second will be from my mom's birthday which she hasn't even sent yet so it's not like she sent tons of money. She doesn't support me and I don't support her money wise. I wanted her to save any receipts to show her being involved with this side of the world. I also wanted her to save receipts if she sent me any cards because obviously I'm not going to send those back. Also when I say "receipts" I'm not just meaning money transfer receipts I mean receipts also such as for money transfer, bought cards/gifts, postage...

I'm only looking for other ways to show evidence. The likeliness of me getting phone logs is slim since I only use a prepaid Boost phone. In that case all I have is YM/Skype chats for that. Most of that is video chats now as well. It seems to me a lot of people are saying we need tons of evidence which I'm afraid we don't have tons.

I think to be on the safe side we've decided not to use the money transfer receipt it's only going to be one so I don't think it will make or break us. However, I think we need to come up with other ways of evidence. I contacted Boost Mobile and they took away all ways to get your phone logs so those aren't even an option for us unless my fiance starts saving my text messages and physically hands them her phones.

This depends very much on the country and which direction the money is going.
