I have seen a lot of info on what #'s to call to schedule an interview in Manila and thought I would write up my experience of my 100% problem-free interview scheduling from the U.S.

Feel free to delete this post if it's' already out there...I couldn't find it. :D

Call +63-2-301-2000 ext. 5184-5185 after 7:30 p.m. EST to make sure your case has been received and that the Certificate of Eligibility has been sent.

Remember this is for U.S. callers. Start calling a few minutes before 8:00 p.m. EST.

Call (214) 571-1600 as soon as you hear the recording, press 2, when you hear the next recording start press 1, do this 2 more times.

So, it will be: (214) 571-1600 2, 1, 1, 1.

Your call should then be directed to a rep to help you setup the interview. It took a few times to get through...but not a problem.

You will need the following info:

Case number: MNLXXXXXXXXXX

Fiance(e)'s:

full name

date of birth

phone number

mailing address

e-mail address

passport number

passport issued date

passport expiration date

passport place of issue

You will be asked if the Certificate of Eligibility has been received.

They will verify all info that you have given and give you the interview date info. They will also give you the UID, read it back to them to make sure it is correct. WRITE THIS DOWN!!!

They will send an e-mail to your Fiance(e) with the password to download the Appointment letter.

***Note, you can have them send it to you as well if you wish, I did.

Go to:

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/US-philippines/UI/IMV/ModifyInstruction.aspx?P=e53mhiXi0fcMxpfBJUHUOw==

You will need your Fiance(e)'s passport number, the UID and the password they sent in the e-mail to download your Appointment letter.

Print it out and you're done...well, except for the medical and interview. :P

Hope this helps.

Sometimes it's difficult to get through to the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit because their phone is always busy. Instead of calling the Embassy's Immigrant Visa Unit to find out whether your petition has arrived and has been entered into their system, it might be easier to simply wait a couple of weeks from the time your petition leaves the NVC, and then start calling the Embassy's call center to schedule an interview appointment. Or, you can wait two weeks and then schedule an interview appointment online. If you give it a couple of weeks, it gives the Embassy time to receive your petition from the NVC and for the Embassy to enter your petition into their system. This way you won't have to call the Embassy's busy Immigrant Visa Unit.

Remember this is for U.S. callers. Start calling a few minutes before 8:00 p.m. EST.

Call (214) 571-1600 as soon as you hear the recording, press 2, when you hear the next recording start press 1, do this 2 more times.

You will be asked if the Certificate of Eligibility has been received.

If the Embassy's call center asks you whether you have received the "Certificate of Eligibility" (commonly called the "eligibility letter"), simply tell them that you have received it already. The reason why you should tell the call center that you have already received the eligibility letter is because sometimes the Embassy does not send the eligibility letter. If Chinook and I had waited for the eligibility letter, Chinook would still be in Bacolod instead of here in Seattle and happily married for the past two-plus years.

Don't you also have to purchase the Visa(s) and give the bank issued reciept number before you can schedule the appointment?

Just verfied my own question. You will need the bank reciept number before they will allow you to schedule the appointment. This applies to appointment scheduling with a CS rep or online.

Thank you both for the wonderful information!

My fiancee and I are attempting to schedule an interview, but have been told that all the slots are full... and that's it. When I asked the rep what we were supposed to do, she said, "Just keep calling back." A supervisor said something similar. Does anyone have any advice on when slots open, what the best way to get one is, etc.? I'm a grad student and we were really hoping she could get the interview quickly so we would have some time this summer together. Thanks for any help!

I wish I had an answer for you. When I called there was only 1 appointment available. Maybe some of the seasoned members here can give you some useful info.

Keep trying...and good luck to you both!
