Our goal at Zynga is to bring players the most fun and engaging social games on the web. Despite a strong community, the popularity of Pirates has declined significantly. We have decided to shut down Pirates in 90 days and focus our efforts on bringing new and innovative games to our players.

As of today, Pirates is no longer available to new players and will no longer accept additional purchases. Existing players will be able to access the game until August 22, 2011.

Zynga is committed to helping Pirates players find a new game to enjoy. We will be offering bonus packages for Pirates players to try other Zynga games like CityVille, FarmVille, and Mafia Wars (to name a few).
