Hello everyone!!

I just came back from my biometrics appointment this am, and I would like to know how long it usually takes to hear back from immigration to let me know everything is ok.

DO they send a letter? I heard some people saying they get a text message?? On the form I had to fill out they asked me for my phone number so...

And then usually how long until I get my EAD??

Any help will be useful, thanks in advance!!

Biometrics is not something you " pass " you go in you give your finger prints and they take a photo and they attach it to your file.

Thats all, after that you just wait for your EAD/AP/AOS approval.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Oh ok, the reason why I ask it s because I read about some people having to go twice to get their fingerprints taken, not because they don t have a clean record but because there was something wrong with the fingerprints or something...

I just wanna get a notice saying I should expect my EAD, that s all.

Thanks for the info!

also when I read on the timelines here " touch" or touched" what do u mean by that?? like u got a notice or something? that the papers were received??

Sorry but there s some vocabulary here that s new to me...lol

im sorry but it doesn't take a genius to understand what the question was here.Biometrics is something you pass because its a background check that must be passed. If you have a criminal record you will have a denial notice. Plzdon't post a comment if it is not going to be productive.

To answer yourquestion it varies from case to case, I have heard some people get their EAD assoon as 6 days after the biometrics other have waited over a month. I did minelast week on the 18th and haven't had any notification on it.

After the USCIS Biometrics Appointment

Fingerprints will then be analyzed by the FBI within a month’s time. If you get an additional biometrics appointment notice within the next few weeks, don’t panic — it’s common for the prints to be smudged, and fingerprints will need to be retaken for a proper background check. USCIS will not charge an additional fee for any additional fingerprinting work.

- Again, you do not pass biometrics. You either pass or fail the FBI check. Biometrics itself is the action of taking your finger prints and photo and putting it on the file so that the background check can be done.

well that s what i meant then, there s a background check they do with the fingerprints, i didn t express myself correctly.

Yes I ve heard about people having to go back to get the fingerprints taken again.

It was super fast but I was so tense ( not because i have a bad background but the whole situation makes me tense), that she had to try and asked me to relax my fingers a few times... I hope i don t have to go back because of this, I live like one hr drive away..

Anyways, I ll make another post when I get a noticed the fingerprints were ok.

Thanks for the help everybody!

There will be no notice like that, but when you get your EAD/AP/interview notice you will know that the prints and checks were ok.
