Hi everybody, I have some doubts and I hope somebody can help me with some advices.

I received the email from the USCIS about my AP being approved on May 19th. I was wondering how long does it take to get the actual document in the mail?

Since then all I can think about is going to my home country for a visit, so then I can come back and finally get a job. I am thinking of leaving in two weeks as I found only one date that is actually cheaper than the rest of the summer, but I am extremely scared of booking a ticket in case I don't receive the document in time. I also have a big fear.. What If I do receive it in time, I go home... and in the meantime I'm overseas my green card get approved?? will I be able to re entry with the AP or it won't be valid anymore? would I be denied?

I am sorry If I am being a little paranoid

it really depends, some gets it faster, some gets it longer. why don't you just wait for it before you book your flight?

Moving from AOS Process to the Travel section.

Since you have the approval, I would go ahead and book the travel. It doesn't take too long to receive once it's been approved. But if you still don't have it before your flight, make an InfoPass appointment and get them to stamp your passport. (Bring along a copy of the approval as well as a copy of your AOS NOA.)

As for your second question I will tell you my own experience. I was out of the country with my AP document. While I was away my AOS was approved and the greencard sent to my house. All I did was reenter using the AP and it was not a problem. (Except for having to go through secondary.)
