Interview date assigned... but case is still not shipped out from the NVC...

I emailed Mumbai Embassy for an early interview date... but they said they don't have the case in their system...

so i called NVC today and Case is still with them... they have no idea when they will ship it out...

i asked them if i can request them to ship it out but we cant do that either...

it is up to them... whenever they decide to ship it out i guess...

this really sucks because Mumbai embassy has few slots open in June due to some cancellation and date changes and they cannot do anything till they get the case in hand...

This is so frustrating...

Thanks for adding us here, California Guy. Hope you join the July group as well. Good luck, everyone. We go first of the month, so we hope to bring good tidings for all of us.

Well since it looks like I am not going to get an early July date, my only hope is an expedite, I guess it doesn't matter that much when the date is anymore. I was planning on visiting my wife for the interview on my vacation time. Well most likely that will not happen. So I might be joining the August crew to make our journey one full year. This journey that I thought was going to take 5-7 months is going to be a year soon or more.

Well you and I both are in the exact same place in frustration I think. My July vacation was supposed to be for interview. There was no reason whatsoever that it couldn't have been. Our process was timely, we did what we were supposed to do,and responded to NVC promptly. Yet here we are. I can't decide if I want to use my vacation time anyway and fly up to see him, or save it for something more fun later on after he moves down. I started a new job this week and they are very supportive except for the ONE requirement.... I can't be gone in August. It's the busiest month of the year and I'm needed badly. My last hope is that on Monday, our 20th business day since the IV documents were emailed in, is to call and get a supervisor to look into our file. Then maybe that attention will speed it up and we can get an approval this week.

I'm sorry you are facing the same thing Cali....it's not fair, and a year is a long time for you too :(

After almost 2 months of waiting for an interview, it was finally assigned. The only problem is, it is not assigned in July. Its assigned at the end of August. Good luck everyone else with their interview dates.

October 2008 - we first met each other at work (Makati, Philippines)

February 2010 - we finally admitted that we are in love (yay!)

Mar 18-Apr 5, 2010 - hubby went to the Philippines for vacation to celebrate his birthday

March 31, 2010 - engagement day!! yay!!

August 21-29, 2010 - hubby went back again to PH for the wedding prep

October 19-November 2, 2010 - hubby arrived in PH for our wedding :)
