Hello everyone!

I see things were pretty fast for most of you. I had my appointment on July 19 and i was told that my visa had been approved, and that i would receive my passport shortly. It has been 10 days now and still no news. No DHL Waybill Number...

Do you have any recommendation? Any number to call?

Hello people,i have some questions,at POE they put a stamp which says addmited,CR1,and the date i have to remove conditions,july 25 2013.That was it,so what should i expect know,welcome letter and then the green card,or do we have to take action and do something,like fill for ssn,or green card!

You will receive a welcome letter which will have a receipt number on it that allows you track production of your green card on the USCIS site. Other than that you just wait for its' arrival.

As far as the SSN goes, if you have not received it within three weeks of your POE go to the nearest office and apply. I applied three weeks to the day of my POE and had the card 6 days later.

All went well! They didn't even ask to look at any pictures that my husband had brought with him, just chatted for 5 minutes about traveling in the US.

Only glitch: they claim that the statement I submitted about why I didn't pay taxes the past 4 years (full time student) was not signed!! So I have to sign the letter and then my husband can send it in with his passport, should only cause a delay of a week.

My big question: If everything was accepted at the NVC, no RFE, no problems why would the consulate suddenly demand this???

Anyhow..overall quite happy at how easy the interview was for him..though we will be happier when the visa is in hand :whistle:

First, you got it, so time for a dance :dance: :dance: :dance:

Second, clearing NVC doesn't guarantee anything...they just do the rough screening work for the consulates...so, they handle *most* of the obvious stuff before it gets to the interview. They miss lots of things and the final decision about what is OK and what isn't is in the hands of the consulates. Just because the NVC didn't catch something or says something is OK, it doesn't mean you are golden. Lot's of examples of that around.

Anyway, it's a trivial thing and you know you are approved once you sign that doc...so time to thank God and enjoy the moment.

POE Aug 5 5h20pm : The funniest moment of the entire process, it took 5 minutes to have the passports stamped, the 4 IO were all so funny, we laughed a lot, and they wished us a warm gentle and successful life in the USA :dance:

hi all! i want to know if the sealed envelope you got with the passport looked like it was opened to be checked for security purposes (maybe at the customs?) pls im getting worried..mine looks like it was opened and then taped back! i just got my pp and envelope today!
