Like Mark said, its hit or miss when it comes to clothes there.. One really needs to take the time to find the best quality and price for an item... There is plenty of high quality made in VN apparel available there... If you check the labels on clothing in US stoes you will find more and more coming from VN rather than China..

I usually buy clothes for family members when I go, but the second trick is to actually measure or try on the item... Don't get jammed like I did several years ago... I wear XL here.. that equates to XXXL in VN.. I found the shirts I wanted to buy for my same size brother... I didnt see the right size.. the girl said just pick the colors you want and I will Have my siste go get the right size shirts in the color you want... sounded right to me... so I waited and she can back 10 or 15 minutes later... I saw the stack of shirts all marked XXXL.. the deal was done... I returned to the US the next day... When I got home and unpacked I noticed that the plastic bags the shirts were in had big XXXL stickers on them.. but the shirts were all XL.... closer to size M here..

She can save you alot of money on nice clothing, but it all needs to be thought out ahead of time.. what you want, the colors sizes etc... (use a seamstress tape to measure so she knows the exact measurements) and what dont forget what will it cost to get it here... always best to try to get a friend to carry some back with them if they have room...

The "Hanoi" store on Cong Quyen has "true" large sizes. The problem? Cheap thread and bad staff. Lottemart has a small selection, but they're pricey.
