most of clothes made in vietnam are junks(viet tien shirts are ok), they wont last more than a few weeks . am a bluecollar guy and normally i will go for carhartt & dickies stuff , em clothings are build like tanks, last for years . if you are a whitecollar guy have your wife look for some good quality cloth , then look for a good tailor who special in making tuxedo .then have him made you a few fairs . i still got 2 pair of tuxedo ( paid 50 dollars each , one of them made from silk).if she gonna go through the trouble of mailing you cloth have her mail those. blue exchange are junks too lol

Or just pay a visit to Marshalls, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less or Burlington Coat Factory stores here in the US. The price is low, the quality is good because they're real brand names and the style doesn't look effeminate like most VN clothes. Like for like clothing is much cheaper in the US. Clothing being sent from Soc Trang to the US would be a first lol.

You can find decent clothes at Co-Op Mart, but pants above a 34 waist are a hard find. There's at least one Co-Op Mart in Can Tho.

It''s nice of her to think of you, but there are better deals to be had in the US.

Personally, I'll take something that is made in Vietnam over something that is made in China. I've managed to find a lot of clothes that aren't "effeminate" or "junk".

is it some issue with being frugal? suggest you find the charity resale shops in your area, in the USA, buy some branded used jeans, soonish.

If he's anything like me then he just hates to shop for clothes. I'd rather have a colonoscopy or root canal than to go clothes shopping. Everyone in my family knows about my hatred for shopping. Most of the clothes I wear were xmas or birthday gifts.

ah - the cool thing about a charity resale shop in the USA -

usually, they have a TOOL section, as well, so can go there for tools.

a good score is some made in USA table saw, circa 1985.

I've bought clothes in Vietnam that are still going strong a fill five years later. Ya just gotta know what you are buying.

Now one cool thing about Vietnam is the ability to have shirts or pants tailored for you. I have some silk shirts that my friends and family are really impressed with. They are just perfect for me because they were tailored for me.

Can't wait to go this Fall and have an entire suit made for me. Maybe two or three. :hehe:

Is it just me or is it difficult to buy underwear that can fit an average USC Male in VN?
