So I have 2 cases at NVC and they "can't find" my son's 2 passport pictures that were mailed to them. I have a supervisor looking for them but now we can't get our interview date until they are found. I have his name and case number written on the back of his pictures so even if they "dropped them" someone should pick them up and see the information so they can pass it on to the correct case. Where did my pictures go?? Should I wait until they are found or have my son( in jamaica) retake pictures and send them to me then send them to NVC? My only problem with that is what if they find the pictures while I am gettign new pictures? And it takes them a week to register they received mail. I am so ticked right now. has this happened to anyone else?

Even though you did everything that could be done they are lost in the " black hole " . Dont wait & leave it to chance that they are found. Get the new ones sent to NVC with the case number ect on the pics & on the letter you will send in. If you have the name of the supervisor send the letter to the attention of that person.

 Agreed!

Sorry about the delay Myra, I hope it is the only bump in your road and that your case is completed as soon as they get the new pics. (F)

I know it is expensive, but my husband sent his DS230 paperwork via FedEx on Friday and I had it in hand today.

I would get them asap and send them same way. Good luck (F)

Best approach is to be pro-active. Send new ones out...fast!

Myra, have the son to re-take his pictures if necessary, then scan them and send to you visa email, Download the pictures onto a USB and take it to CVS or Walgreen or whomever and have them to print out passport size pictures for you. Send the pictures overnight to the attention of whomever you spoke to at NVC. This can all happen within A 48 HR PERIOD.

So today I call NVC as usual and GUESS WHAT! They found my pictures  , but interviews at the Jamaican Embassy was full for June :crying: so it looks like it will be July. I bet if they had never "misplaced" the pictures we would have had a June date. Oh well, the only good news is that the first 2 weeks in June are right around the corner. So fingers crossed, I can get my interview date for July by the end of next week. :)

NVC is so tricky!! I call almost everyday and I hear the same blah blah blah. Well Friday 5/27 I called and they told me we missed June interviews so call back the 3rd week in June to see if we made the list for July. So I figure they are not going to start scheduling until the first week of June right? WRONG!!! Today Sunday I checked my e-mail and and what did I find?? Appointment letters for the kids July 15th at 7:30 AM. I am happy to know the date but what happened to scheduling the first 2 weeks in June for July? I think NVC makes up their own rules as they go, so I encourage everyone going through the NVC stage to call often because things change hourly there, no matter what they tell you KEEP CALLING.
