Hi, Somewhere in my past did try to use drugs. What if I was diagnosed positive during medical examination, is my visa will be denied? (sorry for my English i hope u understand)

Hi I don't believe that automatically they test for drugs only if the doctor suspects something, I think that they usually test ur blood sexual transmitted disease such as HIV/AIDS and Syphilis.

No I believe she was asking abt blood tests not X ray and that's why I said they test u for hiv and syphilis, I don't think she meant the x ray kinda tests cos she said she used to use drugs

Your correct. I was speed reading the post and did not catch the "drugs" part.

I'm sure if you have not done the drug in a while it will clear your system. If you have a police record of it, well then good luck with that.

I would just steer clear of it, unless its for a medical reason, which is doubtful as well.

I don't have any police record... I'm a good citizen. I just took that for curiosity. I guess its been a month. I don't know that my petition will be approved soon.

It's been a month since.... The petition was filed or you used illegal drugs?

FWIW, the Philippines is one of the consulates that does deny based on any admission of past drug use even though the guidelines say to not deny for experimentation several years past. At the medical you will be asked if you have ever used drugs. If you answer yes expect to be denied at the interview.

I can't advise you to lie at the medical as that would violate the TOS of VJ.

It is detectable in the blood for 3 - 7 days depending on the dosage and the effectiveness of your liver in getting rid of it.

Experimenting my a$$--you don't get many chances to really screw up your life, and you certainly took a step in that direction--risk it all for a high??

And by the way they no longer test for HIV.

The above posts were pretty accurate. 3 to 5 days for Meth to clear your body based upon metobolism. If your smart enough to use the internet, then your smart enough to GOOGLE How long it takes for Meth to clear from the bloodstream.

I see this alot: WHAT IF? What if what. Sounds like your actively using and want to know how many days do I need to put the Addiction aside. It is an Addiction. Is your Fiance' aware. (Or a Co-Dependant)

I'm not putting you down. You stated: 30 Days, I kind-of think that like the rest of the posts you made were sidesteped. Meth is not something that is a first drug, it is a graduale drug that involves use of many types of drugs.

If USCIS did hair folicle tests, that go back 5 to 6 months would you pass?

Drugs are no good Young Lady.

See this Link below. (I know in the Philipphines it is hard to watch them due to downloading)

Make-up your Mind and I wish you good luck.

It really depends on the type of drugs you used to use, how long it has been since you've used them, and from my understanding it does not appear to be something they test for as standard however I do know they do blood and sometimes urine tests, so depending on what they look for if drugs is one of them, then yes this could have an affect on your visa application. However, if you want to know for sure if you would test positive for anything, you could always try one of the at home tests or somthing along those lines. Also, if you go to the website for the consulate where the interview will take place, you may be able to find a list of what they are looking for during the medical examination.

They don't test for HIV/AIDS anymore. No, there is no automatic drug test. Even if there were, each drug has a different timeline for how long after last use, it's detectable.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
Understanding the big picture is priceless. Anonymous
