Canned Response for Embassy Appointments?

Hi all ... it's official, our case has been routed to the Dakar embassy in Senegal ... I was so happy to hear this ... I had contacted NVC and asked the questions suggested by some of your posts .... We passed final review, thank you God, and are ready for interview, etc. but One question I asked was when the appointments were to be scheduled and I received what appeared to be a canned response ...something like .... due to the staffing capacity at the embassy in Dakar, no further interviews can be scheduled for June at this point and that we would have to wait for a July appointment which would begin scheduling during the second month of June ... my heart dropped a bit hearing this, but I thought it might just be another canned response ...... I was hoping for someone here to tell me this is just another automatic statement ... I have read on the Senegal portal that the wait should only be 2 weeks ..... Have any of you encountered this?

Please let me know .... I believe in God's timing ... but it would sure be nice to hope for my husband and I to be together for our anniversary at the end of June (L) Thanks again in advance

Hang in there everyone .... it's all good

NVC will schedule an interview for you. Call everyday Monday-Friday until you are given a date. The "2 weeks blah blah blah" is stand response for them.

Make sure you keep checking your postal mailbox and check yours and the petitioner/beneficiary e-mail inbox's as well for a response on interview date.

Good Luck on your Interview!

thank you for your answer  it is encouraging ... to tell you the truth, what you are saying seems to be the norm at the NVC .. I did manage to contact the NVC again and the agent had mentioned that they only make interviews the second week of each month ... but that this was the standard response ;) ... so that along with your confirmation is giving me some hope ... I'll keep documenting the progress and keep all informed ...

again I really appreciate your taking the time to answer the post

Different countries, but seems like the same response. We were told the same thing. That we missed the month of April and that all the appointments are made the first two weeks of the previous month. I just kept calling everyday to see if the appointment had been scheduled. After a week it was. So yes it seems to be a canned response. I also asked to speak with a supervisor as well, just to make sure. Good luck.
