Sarah Palin Buys Arizona Mansion: Reports

th_Palin.jpg

ABC News' Sheila Marikar reports:

Could Sarah Palin be looking to move into the lower 48?

The former governor of Alaska and may have purchased a home in north Scottsdale, Ariz., according to multiple published reports.

The Arizona Republic reported Saturday that Safari Investments LLC paid $1.695 million for an 8,000-square-foot home in what seems to have been a deal staged to protect the identity of a high-profile buyer. According to the paper, the gated stucco home features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage, a swimming pool, a spa and a basement equipped with a home theater, billiards room and wine cellar.

Representatives for Palin did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for comment.

Arizona is familiar ground for Palin -- it's home to Sen. John McCain, her running mate in the 2008 presidential election. Palin's eldest daughter, Bristol Palin, also bought a house in Maricopa, Ariz., earlier this year.

$1.695 million for an 8,000-square-foot home .... the gated stucco home features six bedrooms, five bathrooms, a six-car garage, a swimming pool, a spa and a basement equipped with a home theater, billiards room and wine cellar.

Clearly the kind of residence that real Americans inhabit. After all, she's a "one of us" kind of gal. It's part of her appeal. Or it was until she decided to live more like the Hollywood types...

Enjoying the fruits of ones own labor is a long held American value.....

Poverty.... being an expression of "real America" is where we are soon headed.

I ain't hatin'. She can buy the whole of Scottdale, AZ and it wouldn't bother me a bit. It's just that railing by members of the elite against elitists that seems to resonate with some that really has me wonder.

Either way, Sarah is not running. She's just tired of days without light and nights without darkness and friggin' cold temperatures. So she does what a lot of retirees do - move to AZ.

maybe she can see mexico from her front porch.

 Or this foreign land known as California.
