I-864 AOS Package Pay stubs

Hi,

When putting together all the needed documents for the I-864 AOS Package. Is it totally necessary to have at least 6months of pay stubs which it says in the guide.

My wife has not been keeping hers, and we have only just noticed we need them in the guide.

Would 2months do?

or maybe they are not needed if you submit all other tax documents

Pay stubs aren't mandatory. The only thing that's mandatory is the I-864 form and tax information (either tax transcripts OR 1040s and W2s). You can still send in just 2 months of pay stubs if you want to.

I wrote in another thread earlier today that for at least the last 20 years, nearly all pay stubs show the year to date income, so ONE current pay stub is sufficient to document "current income". At least one tax return is required as well but that's about past income, not current income.

Oh, that's very true that they show year to date income. Completely forgot about that. Then only one is necessary and not six months (or any other amount). Although the pay stub itself is not necessary to begin with.
