it just bother me each time I read about "failing relationship, when they come here they are so bored at home, they get home sick..etc."

If two people love each other for heart intention, I think the above mentioned would be a thing of the past.

Let me define 2 things for you:

1. when a lady post that she is bored (like many many post we read) it means she is not happy with the person she is with @ home.

2. when a the lady says "homesick" it is us that she is sick of that house. There is nothing in that house that makes her happy.

I have to say that I understand where you are coming from but I don't agree at all. People have failing relationships whether they are with people from foreign countries or from the same country. People come here to vent and to receive advice from people who understand the difficulties that come with cross-country cross-cultural relationships. Of course people can be bored at home, living in America is completely different than living in alot of countries. I lived abroad in Egypt for 2 years and when I came home I was bored because life is different there. In some countries everything is in your neighborhood or village you have lots of family and friends around and places to hang out and things to do. Depending on where you live in America everything is not in walking distance and since they dont know their way around they may be sitting inside alot, there is only so much tv you can watch before you get bored. That is a legitimate complaint, being in a new country and getting adjusted to a different way of life has its ups and downs. When a person says they are homesick it doesn't mean they dont like where they are, they just miss where they were. I dont understand where u got that idea from. To think that a person living in a foreign country for their entire life will relocate to a different country and not miss their old life, their family, their friends, their language, their food, their culture is absolutely ridiculous. Where r u going with this?

Everyone is going to get bored or homesick at some point, its just a part of changing cultures and not being 100% a part of that culture. You just need a supportive spouse to help you through it

Interesting how JR is posting a whole lot in this trash thread and yet he's barely replying to anyone. Even when he bothers to reply it's just meaningless mumbo-jumbo...

To be on topic here are my thoughts on this subject (if this thread really has one):

Anyone who moves to the other side of the planet is going to get homesick. They've left everything they know behind and are now cut-off from their family. Filipinos are so much more connected to their family as a whole that the effect has to be multiplied.

Is it understandable that she'll get bored? Of course it is, when she arrives on a K-1 she can't work and many states won't even let her begin learning to drive until she had either EAD or Greencard in hand so while you're at work she's sitting home all day. What, you expect washing your underwear and cleaning your house will keep her occupied, seriously?

Even in the best relationship where all fo the feelings are really there both parties need to work to keep it fresh, if you're not willing to put the work in then don't burden her with your life.

As for jr becoming the resient trouble maker, I seriously doubt it. He's just stumbling throught his own incomplete self-doubts and half truths, no harm to the rest of us.
