Yep. But lets look at what the difference is between the two administrations. Cheney and the Bush Administration had a clear objective when it came to energy and that excluded conservation. He believed that supply was the problem and not American's over-consumption. Nobody wants to tighten their belts. They want endless supplies of cheap oil and they don't care how many lives it costs or how much we spend getting it.

i remember all too well how the media was howling for bush's head over $3 a gallon gas. now it's like the media can't find their balls to say the same thing about $4 a gallon under obama. and now the talking heads tell us high gas prices are good.

Let's pretend that this is an Apple forum. I'll go first. I'm glad gas prices are high. It will help ensure that Exxon makes a healthy profit so that they can continue to innovate and make more high quality gas for us. And then we can all high five each other and brag about how much better Exxon is than BP.
