Are there any fiancee with children coming from the Ukairane??? I just had my first child in April and the embassy just got my petetion approval and soon I will be scheduling my interview and wanted to talk to any members from Ukraine with children to see what they did. Did you get a travel document or put the children on your passport?? Do the children go to the interview?? Thanks for everyones time - Julia

I'm assuming your fiance is the father of your child; he would file for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad. (CBRA) with the Embassy. I believe that would allow your child to have a US Passport.

Thanks for your replies. We were'nt sure. Yes the father is the peteioner. We'll have to make the baby a USC.

We brought two children with Alla. One at the same time, one a K-2 to follow. The 13 year old was in her passport (as was his visa) the other was 18 when he came and he had his own passport. Children under age 14 do not have to go to the interview in Kiev.

If the child has a US citizen father, the child is not eligible for a visa, he IS eligible for a US passport. You should file a CRBA with the counsulate nad get him a US passport. If the US citizen is not the father, you will have to have a letter from the natural father allowing the child to relocate to the US permanently.

Yes, you will, I guess I should have read your next response. I would say to proceed with the CRBA, postpone your interview a little and get the child's passport and then go for your visa interview. The approved petition is valid for 4 months and you can get an extension by requesting the consulate. The K-1 must be used within 6 months of issuance, so be sure that you will have the passport for the child before you get the visa.

it may take the embassy up to a month to have the passport ready.USC should call the American Citizen Services at the embassy and schedule the appointment with them. my fiance and i got olur son's passport very quick.good luck.if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask me
