Might have an eye problem.

Or maybe he thinks he's guido.

or maybe he doesn't have the "team" around him yet scripting his words and laying out his suite each day.

.... give em time he will.

Zogby New Poll Stunner: Christie, Cain Lead GOP Pack

Friday, 20 May 2011 06:58 PM

A new IBOPE Zogby poll shows Atlanta businessman Herman Cain vaulting into the No. 1 front-runner position among active candidates as the choice to win the GOP presidential nomination in 2012.

Cain, a longtime Pillsbury executive who later became chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, was the preferred choice of 14 percent of the likely Republican primary voters polled.

His showing placed second only to New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who got 17 percent. Christie, however, has insisted repeatedly that he will not be running for president in 2012. Ron Paul placed third with 10 percent, followed by former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who had 9 percent.

(Reuters) - Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels has decided not to seek the Republican presidential nomination, the New York Times reported on Sunday, citing an email message sent to supporters.

So, Daniels isn't running. Christie almost certainly won't (he can't have been more clear in every denial).

Romney isn't going to get through the primaries with "Romneycare" painted on his back.

Gingrich is toast and defunct - DOA.

Sarah is a noisemaker but isn't actually going to enter the race.

Santorum, Paul, Bachmann are too wacky even for the GOP.

I'm starting to think Pawlenty and .... CAIN (?!) are seriously the last men standing. Unless, perhaps, Jon Huntsman also joins the field.

Pawlenty, Cain, Huntsman .... your GOP field for 2012 ladies and gentlemen.

His analysis wasn't bad, the base is in no mood for a track record like Romney totes.

The only factor to keep in mind, is Cain, I suspect, speaks unguardedly..... that could be at minimum, a sound-bite heaven for the Left ....and the Press (was I being redundant)?

He is already on the record (YouTube) saying he would never appoint a Muslim to his cabinet.

I didn't. The Tea Party, and the conservative voters who carry the day in early state primaries like IA and SC, did.

I think if Romney could somehow get through the primaries and win the nomination, he'd be an excellent candidate in a general election. But I just don't see him surviving the primaries.

Exactly. The Tea Party will do the GOP in. They've done a lot of that already and I am looking forward to them continuing that course. Have them run a right wing candidate in every district where a moderate Republican runs for the GOP. Split that right-of-center vote. Couldn't ask for anything better.

Is it really that amazing when a Democrat is in office?
