I'm finishing up my I-129F and getting ready to send it in. This board has been a tremendous to me and my fiance. I was wondering when i send in my forms, is it ok to send it in a binder? i have it all placed in clear sheets and organized. Will they accept it that way or should i just take it all out and make a big stack of paper and send it in that way?

thanks!

supra,

How easy will it be, and how long will it take you, to take all those pages out of the binder and out of their plastic sheaths?

That's the first thing that some file clerk at the Service Center is going to have to do, then throw all that stuff away, before they can get start re-arranging your submission into a file folder. Can you imagine the extra time they would have to spend if they had to do that with each and every submission?

How badly do you want to piss them off?

The USCIS seems to favor the "ACCO" style fastener. Normally associated with the "two hole punch" at the top of the documents.

If you don't feel compelled to deal with that, use a big compression clip at the top, the type that captures all documents with one device. Know what I mean?

No freaking staples at all!!!

Good luck guys!!!!!

My advice is one of a newbie! Well, thats what I'm callled. Yodrak has my vote for proper action. Sorry to chastised you but: DAMNIT! You should have read the pre I-129f Guides on this post!!!! Every Thing possible & Everything that could happen on this VJ Journey is spelled out in these forums. READ the guides. USE the examples! Follow the advice!!

Examples but not complete:

Cover letters for all sections

Use ACCO Binders and no Staples

bag the photos and mark the back with clear name and dates.

Much much more!!! Just see the Forums!~!!!!!!!

Have a great Day :D:D:D:D

The most you might consider doing is two hole punching your submission for them, and clipping it all together with an ACCO fastener. Anything more will just be extra work for the processor to remove and discard.

Good luck on your journey! I remember how excited I was to finally send off our application.
