He must have shown that he is a Lawful Permanent Resident or you wouldn't have got an NOA2 approval notice. Nothing to worry about at this point..

If he has a green card than he is a LPR and has the same rights as a US citizen to file a petition for you. You should be very happy about your approval!! Now, the next step gets a bit tricky. Congrats & Good Luck!

why would your husband lie to you?? Other february filers are posting that they got NOA2 this week...not many but a few. Ask your husband for the Receipt from NOA1 and go to USCIS.gov and check the status of the petition yourself! Just get the receipt number....

i agree ....go check it out..you should have the receipt number from the first NOA1 saying they accepted your petition. And yes...there are some (just a handful of pple) that do get approval quite quickly...anywhere from 1 month to 3 months...so say a prayer and be sooo thankful that you have your noa2 :)) congrats!!

yes but i think its not my approval may be my husband lie to me because i cant get my approval after 2 or 3 month

plzz help meeeeeeeeeeee

Perhaps you are confusing the approval of a petition with the approval of a visa. They are separate issues. Petition approval is only one step. You've a few more to get through before any visa is issued, including him obtaining citizenship or a long wait for a visa to be available for you.

No he's saying that the Visa process to bring your spouse here has several steps...1st step is the i 130 petition, USCIS sends letter of receipt, then you wait for them to approve that part once they approve they send the NOA2 Notice of approval (which is what we think your talking about)....then they forward onto National Visa Center where they ask for documents pertaining to finances of the petitioner and the beneficiary and marriage certificates etc...there is a list of these papers needed for NVC, then once they approve that it goes to embassy for interview...Once you have your interview THEN your actual VISA is approved or denied etc...look at my signature...many steps have been completed just waiting on the last part now...which is actually the most important...

and at the time of our expedite my husband was in a very serious violent situation in his city and was unable to work because none of the transportation was runing and the shops wer all closed. However, we did not expedite thru NVC and didnt have to with embassy as they scheduled us so quickly.

We called USCIS and requested expedite and were approved.

Not you "can't" but you must wait for a visa to become available based on your preference category and country. When the petitioner is a US Citizen, the visa can be applied for and the process continue without regard to "availability".

Look here. http://www.travel.st...letin_5452.html Your preference category is F2A.

Looks right now like four years but it changes. If the petitioner become a citizen during that time, then you move ahead in the line and it will be a few months from the time he notifies them he's now a US Citizen.
