Hello, my friend has filed a K1 visa for his fiance in the Philippines... but SADLY he is sick and would love for her fiance to come to US as soon as possible. His fiance has an active B1. It is now the fifth month since they filed the K1. Would it be ok to use the B1 and enter US just to be there for my friend?

Yes she can do that.

She should bring NOA1, and proof of ties to home (kid staying back, job, lease to appartment etc).

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
