My fiancee and her daugther 2 yo arrived in USA 2 weeks ago on K-1/K2 visa but she told me that the immigration officer kept all the documents in the sealed envelope.

So we dont have any vacination records or X-Rays to show for a follow up medical for the AOS later.

From reading the past thread this seem NOT the standard proceedure?

What can we do now at this point?

Should we go back to the airport and inquire with the immigration officials?

It seems were cursed with problem after problem..nothing is going smoothly with our case.

They kept my envelope aslo, she should have had her xrays in her luggage. I have also adjusted my status and there was no follow up medical. I wouldnt worry, I think it is right that they kept the envelope.

Relax. This is exactly standard proceedure.

The mystery envelope will be forwarded to the office where your AOS meeting is held in the future. If you do the AOS within one year there is no need for another medical. If its after that time you will need a complete new medical by a C S.

Its a good idea to check with your local county health clinic about getting the booster shots later. These will be required before the child is allowed in school. My daughter had a total of 9 shots which were free but would have cost more than 300 dollars at a doctor. This was not required for our AOS & they did not ask any questions about our medical.

You are not cursed. You are dealing with USCIS about the serious matter of immigration.

The shot record should be taken to your county health clinic to help determin what follow ups are needed. They will convert the record to a shot card issued by them which is nice to have.

I was given my X ray & never asked about it again. The officer at the AOS wasnt interested in seeing it.
