I have my visa approved yesterday. My fiance will come here on June to get me :P

I'm really so happy now that this long wait will be over soon but the thought of leaving my family, relatives, and friends behind really makes me sad. I love my fiance SOO much. He's everything to me. I'd just like to know if there are any VJ members living in Hawaii that I can talk with later and be friends with and talk with when I"m sad. Of course, I always talk to my bee about everything but having a filipina friend will be a big help :)

Aloha M&M,

First congratulations on getting your visa.

Tonieta will have her interview on June 22 but may not come over until August. She is from Cebu. We will be living on Oahu one of the 6 main islands that make up Hawaii. She also has a big family and I know she will miss them and they will miss her very much. It would be nice if she had someone here to talk with. If you would like her phone and e-mail before she arrives just let me know and I will get them to you. I use this site often to help our process but she hardly ever comes on.

hisprincess, the same message to you I'd be happy to get her contact information to you also just let me know.

I'd feel better knowing there are a couple of people here she will be able to talk to right away. I cannot imagine leaving my country and family behind. It would be a very hard thing to do. One more thing I appreciate about her.

Aloha.......................Paul

Thanks Paul!

That would be great if I can talk and meet Tonieta later. I know we might feel the same way later. It is really hard to leave everything behind :( My fiance lives in Ewa Beach. I have no idea how far it is from Oahu but I'll see it soon.

I hope you guys get your visa approved soon. Please tell Tonieta that the interview is so easy and it's more of a friendly chat between her and the consular officer. There's nothing to worry about as long as you have the right documents with you :) Good luck to your interview! Keep me posted :)

Lucky you live in Hawaii, you won't be starting any threads about the cold weather, missing the food, or not seeing any Filipinos for miles. But it can be hard here esp if you are not Ilocano and/or have family here already. This applies to if your fiance here is local or from the mainland, which can cause some problems too.

Would you mind if I ask why do you think it will cause a problem? My fiance is in military and now stationed in Hawaii but it wont be permanent.
