How long usually take to petition a minor child of a USC?

Wouldn't the minor child of a USC also be a USC or at least immediately eligible for citizenship?

depends on how long the USC father have been living in the states. 2years residency for USC parent who became an American Citizen before they turned 14years old and 5 years after 14

There is no waiting for priority dates for a minor child of a USC, so the process takes about the same time as a spousal visa- 8-12 months.

what i meant was u can apply her a consular report of birth abroad. but if she needs to be petitioned. same with the spouse approximately 10months for everything

you cant petition your minor son because he is automatic become an american citizen when you apply a CRBA and PASSPORT IN US EMBASSY MANILA it takes only 2 weeks tat you have his passport and crba on hand,so if i were you just apply it now....

My daughter is 12 yrs old she live with my parents in the Philippines I just got my citizenship 3 months ago so now I want her to be here with me. I want to know how long the process take because last week I submitted I-130 with Affidavit of support.

CRBA Certification of a Registered birth abroad to a USC. The obvious benefit; automatic US Citizenship to the kid, An instant ticket to the US.

CRBA does not apply to your child as she was born before you became a US citizen. It will take about 8-12 months for her to arrive in the USA.

you shouldun't have submitted the affidavit of support, only the i130. when it is consular processing, the NVC or National Visa Center takes care of the rest of the forms, and you have to pay $88 dollars for the affidavit and send it with a cover that has a bar code.

you will have to resubmit the affidavit, so prepare it again with all the paperwork that you sent, so when the time comes you have it.
