well since i dont have any identification of me besides my passport (w/ expired visa) & tax ID, i figured out, maybe a STATE ID would help identify me??? correct me, would I benefit from this? Am i eligible? are state ID's for US citizens only or green card holders? duh i dont know really. I searched this forum about it but it keeps giving me search errors.

pls.. no haters

My husband used his passport as his only form of ID at his biometrics. He had no problems and we were in and out within 15 minutes. :) Good luck tomorrow!

In my state, to get an ID you would go to the DMV and get a non drivers license.

3 things needed to get it.

  1. Photo ID, Your passport.
  2. Prof of address, a bill in your name will do.
  3. Tax ID, green card, or I-94

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Sorry...I misunderstood your post. The State ID is only for ID purposes...it doesn't really do anything but identify who you are, and your passport can do that. Of course, this is how I understand it.

yeah i also tried to get an ID once and it's disappointing too. i waited in line for line half an hour (there's a long queue!) and the staff told me that i have to either get my EAD or green card to apply for the ID...

I also felt like I was some kind of illegal immigrant then. :(
