What exactly is "lambing" and why does it always cost me money??

I guess it's the farm boy in me, but I thought it was time for the ewe's to have babies!

That's what I thought too. Well you learn something new everyday. I will have to bring this up with the wife later and see what her take is on it.

My wife calls me from work, and says, "I want to make lambing to you. I am broke. Can you give me money?"

Now, exactly where did this cultural phenomenon come from, and how is the custom passed on? Do Pinay learn through example, books, or is this passed on from mother to daughter in secret rites of passage? Are there rules, and where can I find those?

I realize I will not win, so, I just give in.
