i should not have read your checklist. long form birth certificate /?? copy of all p3 documents ???

Yes, a long form birth certificate for the beneficiary is required.

It's good to have a copy of all the documents you sent in with Packet 3 in case anything got lost.

Well i won't have a long form birth certificate, i leave tomorrow... anyone know where i get one ??

This thread covered the ways to get a long form birth certificate: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/249332-long-form-birth-certificate/ You'll probably have to get it afterwards and mail it in, if Montreal allows.

PROOF OF PAYMENTI have almost everything ready- I'm just waiting on my fiance to mail some stuff to me. I think I went a little overboard, but IMO you can't go overboard in being prepared for this interview. :P

By the way, is proof of payment (I paid the $350 fee online) just the confirmation email you get immediately after paying?

What I currently have (things with a + I have at least one photocopy of):

unopened medical folder and x ray

my original birth certificate +

ATIO birth certificate translation, certified by commissioner of oath +

police certificate +

all packet 3 forms, including DS 160 confirmation page +

appointment confirmation email +

MRV fee receipt email +

letter of intent from me

copy of biographic info page from passport +

credit card statement showing payment of $350 MRV fee

2 passport photos

original packet 3

original packet 4

Evidence of a relationship:

4 photos of us

boarding passes from my fiance

credit card statement from when I went to the States and bought stuff

boarding passes and train tickets from when I went to the States

receipts that shows my fiance purchased stuff in Canada (they have his name on it)

printouts of our flight itineraries

western union receipts with both our names printed on them- My fiance has sent me money frequently, although I dunno if this looks weird or suspicious at the interview because I can't recall what I needed the money for exactly, just that I was running low on cash. Once I had to get my wisdom teeth removed though and he sent me money for that, so I kept the receipt from the dentist so it could be matched up with the western union receipt. I don't plan on showing them this evidence unless they ask for it.

For the I-129F, I didn't have a photocopy of the original package, but had some files on the computer from when we filled out the forms. So we have copies of:

the actual I-129F application

my biographic information form

my fiance's biographic information form

What I don't currently have, but I'm expecting to receive in the mail from my fiance:

original birth certificate

photocopy of birth certificate

letter of intent

photocopy of biographic info page from passport

Affidavit of support's evidence:

letters from the bank

letters from his employer

pay stubs

2008 & 2009 tax transcripts

2010 tax return- this is what I'm worried about. They were filed electronically so he just has a print out of the return and his W2 but nothing else. I asked him to sign all the pages just because it seemed like a good idea. I hope this is sufficient because he's not able to get a transcript for 2010 on time.

<some other stuff about his 401K but I can't remember what it is exactly>

Whoops, sorry about the PROOF OF PAYMENT at the beginning of my post. That was a mistake and it's too late to edit my post now. :P

And obviously I'm expecting the affidavit of support form along with the evidence.

Our co-sponsor called the IRS on Tuesday and they faxed her the 2010 tax transcript within 30 minutes, if you're worried you could have your fiance fax that and then fax it to you?

Only thing you have that I don't is your own letter of intent. I thought only the USC had to provide an updated one? Better safe than sorry, I'll make one up right now!

We're leaving Grand Rapids for Brampton tomorrow, then driving to Montreal on Tuesday!

My fiance filed his taxes late so they haven't been officially "processed" by the IRS yet and he can't get the transcripts until then. That's why I'm worried :/ He called them last week and they said it would be a "few" weeks until transcripts would be available to him. He's going to keep calling and asking though.

As to the letter of intent, I think you're right that the USC only has to provide one. I made one just because I have a printer handy so I figured I might as well. XD But the checklist only asks for one from the USC.

Good luck with your trip and your interview! I'm sure you'll be fine with everything you have. Also this is irrelevant but I live in Brampton so I'll make sure to send out good vibes tomorrow! XD

Oooh, okay. That stinks, though. Hopefully they'll look at everything you have and accept it without requesting you submit that after the fact1

And thanks!! :)

Hi ya'll,

Just wanted to wish everyone here the best of luck. I remember how I was this time last year (Aug 9th), very much stressed, but now I realize how overly stressed I actually was. Just want to tell you guys to enjoy your trips to Montreal and try not to stress too much about the interview and the whole immigration process. There was a big group of us last year with Aug interviews only one got put into AP, but we all ended up getting our visas in the end and now are ALL Green Card holders. Just plan day by day and everything always falls into place.

Have a safe trip and wishing for Happy Approvals :D

If anyone is going to be driving to Montreal via the 401, we just passed a bunch of signage that its going to be closed at exit 738 starting August 9th and that a detour will be required. Doesn't say how far it'll be closed or if it will be a long detour, but I figured I would share that.

I've already wished you good luck but I want to wish you good luck again! You must be nervous!

Also pretty please post a review before August 11th? With a cherry on top? LOL!

Re: the highway closure, I'm glad I'm taking a train instead of a bus. :)
