Green card received, all the information is correct, I can finally relax!

YAY! I am so happy for you!!! It is nice to finally relax...at least for the next 2 years minus 90 days lol!

I just got my drivers license changed over today to a Maryland one. It's about time I guess! When I first went in, the girl at the check in counter told me I needed to do a 3 hour alcohol and drug class. I am not normally one to stand up for myself so I am glad my husband was with me or else I would have wound up doing the class at a later date. With him around me I tend to be a stronger person, so I actually spoke up and told the girl that no, I don't need to do that as a Canadian citizen. We went back and forth about 3 times until I asked her to ask someone about it. I was pretty mad because when we went to inquire about things we needed a few months ago, they never mentioned this class (which I told her). She came back and was like, Ok, you don't need it! We get my documents sorted out and got a number of G19. It took us 2 hours to be seen. I saw this one lady who was processing licenses who looked super friendly...lots of smiles from her booth, so I hoped to get her. Thankfully we did...and it turns out she is from Oakville Ontario! As soon as she said that, I silently cheered in my head...knowing this was going to be easy! She went though the CR1 process about 6 years ago and is now a US citizen. She was so nice and it was great to have someone in the US government actually understand the frustrations we go though...and she knew what she was doing in regards to my license. So easy!
