I'm sending AOS out today! Finally! Three weeks later than I originally intended...but that is ok. I am sending in my DS-3025 with my I-693 (vaccinations only...adding my flu shot). I will keep you all posted with how that goes.

I haven't sent any kind of mail here in the US. Can I just send it in a manila envelope? I want to send it express so it gets there fast with confirmation. What would be my best option for that? Should I get a special mailer package from the post office?

Future hubby said to use this: https://www.usps.com/ship/priority-mail-flat.htm

It's cheap for documents and trackable.

Similar to Canada Post's Express Post or Priority Post.

I've heard that in addition to just the first page of the I-693, it's prudent to include one of the pages from the instructions that states you don't have to re-do the medical if it's within a year and highlight that part, just to demonstrate you know what you're doing and reduce the chances of an RFE :)

REALLY? Oh man. I JUST got back from shipping mine off. WHY didn't I think of that!!! UGH! I made a note on my cover letter stating the I-693 had the flu shot addition to it...this whol thing is stressing me out lol!

As long as I get my AP with no issues, I won't worry too much. I just want to be able to travel back to Canada. I miss it.

Just once I want something to go smoothly that's supposed to. Had a big kerfuffle at biometrics today and now USCIS can't tell me for sure if the idiot supervisor has ###### up which surname will be on my Green Card. (Details are on the AOS forum but basically its stupid)... Between the stupidity I went through with my medical and this I'm wondering why its the supposedly easy parts that keep going wrong for us? I don't want my green card issued in my maiden name, I want it in my married name and I did everything properly to make sure it would be yet some idiot supervisor at the ASC here may have screwed everything up.

Going to finally send off my AOS this week. My husband is going to get a bank certified check this morning. We don't have personal checks, so that should be ok, right? Also want to verify that the amount is $1070 still.

Ralyse, that sucks... I hope they issues your card in the right name! :(

Coconuts: yep, it's still 1070. Incidentally we're getting the cheque ready this morning to :D So we're filing AOS at almost the same time.
