took it for granted I know things and just barely passed!! LOL I am so glad I only had to do the written test

PS still waiting for my SSN, when I went to the office she said I still wasn't in the system so she would keep trying and that I should hear in about 3-4 weeks about a card. I hope she is right...I really don't want to drive the 2 hrs one way again!

I just got a text/email message that says "we transferred your I-485 case to another office for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action"

What the heck does that mean?!?

I got this last night as well. First thing that came to mind was RFE of course.

What does it mean? From your post I am guessing it's good news but I don't know why?

YAY!! It means our case was transferred to CSC (California Service Center) for processing. From what I have read here on VJ, it normally means that we won't have to go in for an interview .. so hopefully we will get the approval/greencard a lot faster!

i got ours last night, it said it was going to the National Benefits Center for whatever reason

Well, it looks like I can't get any insurance until next year. Apparently to qualify for insurance you have to file for it within 30 days of the marriage, but you also need an SSN. Guess when I received my SSN? 31 days after our marriage. My husband tried to explain to the HR person that we tried to get my SSN really early, etc. but she was a crabby old %$&^ and wouldn't allow us to be one day late. I really need a prescription for something too, ugh. Looks like we'll have to pony up the uninsured cost for a doctor's visit

WOW that is terrible!!! Sorry that happened...I hear ya about SSN I still have yet to get mine it's been almost 4 weeks!

if you go back to the office you should be able to get a print off with the number on it about a week after you apply and the paper will work inplace of the card untill you get it

I suggest doing a search of the Canada forums here and look for lists of contents that people have brought to their interview.

We finally sent our AOS today! The stress of delaying it was making me crazy, oh my god. We had some fun times with my husband's car and some expenses there, but it's finally sent! It feels really good to feel like things are moving along again, but I'm back to being super paranoid I did something wrong on the forms, alas.

I know I'm missing some dates here, so let me know and I can update accordingly:

FInally doing AOS today and I have a couple of questions.

When it refers to the DS-3025 for vaccinations, is that the "Vaccination Documentation Medical Worksheet Two" that was on the outside of my medical? Under results, the following is checked off for me: Applicant may be eligible for blanket waiver(s) because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate (as indicated above)" And "not age appropriate" is selected for some of the vaccinations. Is this all I have to submit? It doesn't have a form number written anywhere on it.

This is probably really stupid... Where did you find your Non-Immigrant Visa #? On my visa there's a number in red that's printed overtop of the end of my husband's name so I can't really read it too clearly, is that it? or is it the "Control Number" at the top? (Which is basically just my case # with 0001 on the end)

I know it is hard to start the AOS process, I imagine just being together finally, the last thing on our minds is the AOS, I am starting mine too, still so much to do with this one..sorry I can't help you with your question, but I am sure you will get one soon

I still haven't gotten around to even starting AOS ... or even really thinking about it. I don't want to do forms again. Maybe next week.
