our wedding was on sep 3 by the way, also the tax on the car is a state tax, they told me that the no tax rule didnt apply, so i didnt do it i told her i would print off the import rules and bring them back and havent got around to it, though she didnt really know what she was doing she wanted to make me take the test and get a lerners permit even though ive been driveing for 8 years I had to talk to her boss about that too and i ended up gettting a full one what a pain in the ####

I can't! It's been a really long, hard four months since I received my Visa. But we made it and he'll be here next Friday! Seems a bit surreal.

I was without a computer for a few days- I missed it here Finally made my POE on September 9th and we're getting married on the 17th No wedding but it'll be a relief to finally sign the papers. One year from now we can all celebrate our anniversaries together in a new thread Congrats coconuts, that must've been a grueling four months but the wait is almost over. And congrats to everyone else!

Congrats on your POE, pocheros! And yeah, it looks like a bunch of us will end up with the same anniversary I'm wishing we weren't bothering with a wedding, but that's probably the stress talking. I can't imagine organizing and planning a big one! (My fiance's sister is getting married in June, 300 person guest list. I just... I can't even imagine trying to figure that out. We have 50 and I'm stressed.)

We have only been planning for about a week since we were moving into our apartment the first week he was here. It has not been fun and I wish we weren't doing anything. Can't wait for Sunday

I'm still thinking we should have eloped! But here's the update... talked to my kids (adult kids - one going to school in Calgary, the other in Montana) and with their school/work schedules, I think we've set a date! Finally! Jeff's kids (adult kids as well), live near us so if they can't get the day off, we'll have an evening wedding..in our home... which means planning...and stress...and joy, right? lol October 15th it is! Not sure if we're doing a 'theme' yet or keeping it simple but I will keep you updated

Oooh! Can I be part of this? I, like coconuts, have had my visa for a little while approved May 4th), but due to other responsibilities (overian cyst surgery ugh!) I had to hold off on my POE, which will be Sept 25th (a day before hers). It would be awesome to follow along with a group for the AOS process as I am at a loss!

I had a fabulous weekend! Aside from my husband forgetting his shoes and delaying pictures while someone ran around to get them, everything went really smoothly and we had a wonderful time. I'm really tired and never want to do anything like it ever again, but it was a fantastic time! I hope the rest of you have as (relatively) painless weddings/celebrations as we did
