We are going to be crossing in Detroit (Ambassador Bridge). We will get a checklist together and list everything we have. Knowing how things work there they will still go through everything and the checklist will not do much. Good to have though!

Looks like we're in the same boat with the checklist. :) I was able to find some old reviews on the Pembina/Emerson and it looks like it's been a pretty easy POE for K1's. Here's hoping my fiance lucks out. I won't be able to travel with him 'cause of my job...

Hey all! Just checking in to let everyone know that we had our interview today and we were approved! :D I was a little worried after seeing a post in another thread where the consulate wanted someone to replace their passport because my passport has some water damage, but they didn't say anything about it. Everyone working at the consulate was nice, too.

We were in and out pretty quickly - we stayed at La Tour Centreville (less than 2 minute walk to the consulate) and we left right at 6:30 AM. There was only one other couple there (they were a CR-1 couple, nice people - I felt bad because they brought a bag with them and the girl had to go get rid of it before she could go with her husband into the consulate) and no one else came until about 7:10 AM or so, which was a little annoying because it was super chilly this morning and neither of us had jackets, but we were glad to be there when the line did start forming.

We got number C2 (I remembered ralyse's advice about the elevator and the numbers and made sure we were close to the front :P) and we were back st the hotel room by 9:05 AM.

Thanks guys!

Congrats Kayla & Pocheros! :D

Congrats on getting your visa ralyse! That was awfully fast. I hope your wedding is a blast!

You had the dreadlock lady at the interview, right? I got her as well, and I read somewhere that the person who interviews you at least partially affects how quickly your visa is printed. Dunno if that's true but if it is I got lucky since you got your visa so quickly! Hehe. Living in Ontario might have something to do with it too, though. *fingers crossed*

How great

Ours said the same thing, so my fiance called the DHL branch in the morning and they confirmed it was there ready for pick up. I'd do the same before you drive to get it, but it should be there! Congrats!
