Kat~~ you are unique (L)

We have had many phone conversations over the years, and each time you give me advice, you set me straight and raise me up. I don't always agree with you and sometimes the things you say make me cringe. I appreciate your concern for women that find themselves in precarious situations. Your feelings about men from certain regions is exactly how I feel about Jordanians. I don't blame them all, just the 2 idiots I met and married.

Do I regret it? Nah, I had a few good years, and some nice vacations. While we are doing 'jackie-updates'....I gave my 2 week notice at work today. I feel the need for some changes and have to do things for and by myself now. Pulling up my big girl panties and moving on down the road. Which road? lol ....stay tuned to find out :P

Best wishes Jackie! Big girl panties are more comfy than a thong any day. ;) Here's to better days and new adventures. Have you ever thought of becoming a sorority house director? It might be just up your alley.

If the road is a MENA visa journey, we might have to have a virtual group smack up in here. tongue_ss.gif

If she does, then I guess you can take Jackie out of mena but you cant take the mena out of Jackie.

Is it a road trip involving a plane ride and eating mansaaf and oum kalthoum songs? Am I missing something?

You know I would *love* to do an EAT PRAY LOVE trip!!!! I'm doing the Dukan Diet so I'd have to wait for the EAT part until I get to the final stage but maybe the PRAY LOVE part could come first. I never saw the entire movie so I just know she went to Italy and India. Where was the third country? I think I'd like to go with my sister who is alive (obviously duh bridget) in a few years if she's up to it. We went on the Carribean Princess for a one week cruise a few years ago and had a BLAST!!!

There WILL be no more MENA men in my lifetime. He could be the f*ckin knight in shining armor, look-alike to Edward AND Jacob, he could be driving a Lexus and holding a 5 carat diamond ring and I would have to RUN the opposite direction til I dropped dead of exhaustion.

First, I'm moving to Streator. Yea...from the city to Streator 0_o ....I am moving to my sister's house and from there...we are taking a trip across America on the highway. Sometime around August she is buying a house in Florida and I will find a flooring company there. I gave a proper notice at my current job and they will give me a letter of recommendation.

I look at it this way, I can either take my life's lemons and let it sting my eye...or I can make one hell of a grand glass of lemonade.

Before making these decisions, I did try to ask Ibrahim what he wanted for the future. He chose to remain in Jordan. So everyone is where they should be. I continue to cheer you all on from the sidelines as I see so many of you succeed in happy marriages. It just wasn't meant to be for me.

....and for the ones that want MORE of the story..lol ...call me (815) 981 2393

First,

If you meet a mena man with a US passport that doesnt need a loan, a co signer a greencard or a free place to live, go be happy. You could meet someone from Jordan in the middle of no where that loves you for you but its when you mix the whole having to sponsor someone and then baby sit and financially support them that life begins to suck really bad. You already babysat 2 men . Dont do it again.

Right now you need to finalise the divorce from big baby number 2, go do some Jackie things and I honestly believe that love is in the cards for you. Its not about the MENA thing. Its the whole passport, greencard thing thats the problem, especially in the older woman, younger mena guy relationship. The sex can be amazing but you need to get out of bed sometime and the rest of life has to be worth a ###### ( Is that cringeworthy enough?) I honestly didnt get either right ( well not in the particular one that screwed me the worst anyway. Thats probably why I am so damn bitter. I am like hey, I didnt even get that good out of this big 4 year pile of #######

Just be happy, laugh with friends and find your happiness on your terms. Hey

You arent boring. Thats almost worst than anything.. Being boring

Love you.. Have fun

I did give it my all and stood by him for over 3 years.

...but I am not hurting. We have never been together more than 6 months at a time, so believe me, I stopped hurting a long time ago. I held on as long as I could and much longer than I should have. We all have our breaking points.

Lifes good and I can't wait to put mah toes in da sand and sip a fruity drink with an umbrella. B-)

:ot2: I'm gonna use dat fruity drink to wash down my Wellbutrin...lol

Think of it this way:

no more fighting over the tv clicker

you don't have to cook anything if you don't want to

all the covers are now yours and you can sleep in the middle of the bed

etc.......

and in no way is this restricted to mena men!!!
